Today I started it up and this bubble popped up in the notification area:
Also, all my preferences, like theme and add-ons, were gone.
Does anyone know what I should do?

Did you go to the folder and and "run the Chkdsk utility"?
I tried, but when I went to find that folder, it didn't exist.

How about deleting all the old Chrome files and then try.

Delete every last bit of Chrome, then redownload it. That worked for me before.

Hmmmmmm.... Perhaps you should contact Google.

I've tried everything. Nothing worked.
Hmm, I guess I should try contacting Google.

Hmm...if other people's suggestions didn't work, try reinstalling Chrome in a different folder (like make the folder "Google Chrome" in the Program Files folder, instead of "Chrome" in Google's Program Files folder).

I fixed it.
I ended up looking on the Google Help Forum for an answer, though.
But thanks for trying to help, guys. c:

Go to
C:/documents and settings/ [your username]/local settings/application data
and delete the folder titled "Google Chrome". Then, go to your program files and delete the file called Google Chrome (may be a subdivision of a file called Google) then re-install Google Chrome.
