Sorry guys, no changes.
The upgrade this evening is to part of the network infrastructure that Scratch uses to connect to the internet, but it won't affect performance.  We're also moving a server to a new location, but that shouldn't effect performance either.

Later on we may move the Scratch website application / fileserver to a new, faster server - that should make things a bit quicker. But it may be a few weeks before we get that done - it needs a lot of testing / setup work first.

Ah, thanks for clearing that confusion up.

Let me explain. I was first introduced to Scratch in school. I joined the second I got to the website. I asked my Dad to download it to his computer so I could use it outside of school. I have my own computer now, and I simply haven't downloaded it yet.

the computer is running slow on scratch. maybe thats because im at school and the school computers dont work too well...

It's a little more complicated than that. My dad wants to back up the computer before he downloads it, and there have been too many delays.
