I figured out how to turn your scratch or byob projects into a screensaver!
1. Open the project you want to convert in BYOB
2. Compile it.
3 Go to the folder in which your project is in.
.: if file extensions are already showing, ignore these steps:.
4 on the corner click organize>folder and search options.
click view. Un select "hide extensions for known file types"

5. Change the exe's file extension to .scr
6. right click on it.
7. click install. This will add it to your list of screensavers.
8. Go to control panel to try it out!
*******NOTE*******
YOUR SCREENSAVER WILL NOT CLOSE WHEN THE MOUSE IS MOVED. TO DO SO, MAKE A SCRIPT USING THE "CLOSE SCRATCH" BLOCK FROM THE BLOCK LIBRARY.
a tutorial on how to shift- click y is here

Thats all for now! ☺ ☺
Here's a simple screensaver i have made. Fish screensaver
Gobo screeensaver (thx cocolover!)

SWEET.
Now we can share scratch projects as screen savers!
You should add a list where you put downloads to other peoples screen savers.
Can BYOB compile a close scratch block? Is it tested? Can you post a screen saver you made?

You can add some scratch blocks from the block library into BYOB, compile the project, and they work! I tried it with the open url block!
Great tutorial by the way!

hmmm.. I cant find any sort of way to convert it into a .saver file manually. I saw some converters on the internet, but im not sure how reliable they are. sorry.
You might want to try it, but make sure the publisher is reliable. Search for ".scr to .saver converter"

Did you change it to src instead of scr? What operating system are you using?
EDIT: Did you try right-clicking in the browser? You have to download it first.

Wait, I made the close scratch block, but if you open a project with that in it in BYOB then the block appears as obsolete.
No. You have to add the block in byob. I believe pecola1 made a tutorial on how to do so.
