A Question For the Other Techies
I used to have a cable which connected my computer to the TV so the TV was the monitor but that was about 4 or 5 years ago so I have completely forgoten what I need to do that.
Is there any way I can connect my computer to the TV besides the Apple TV?

You can use an HDMI port I believe.

Most of the time it is a blue vga cable, if not, it is a beige DVI cable, if not THAT, HDMI.

Depends on the output of your computer and the input of your TV
Mac: Probably needs an adapter
Windows: might work without.
Also, the TV needs multiple inputs.
