There has been a great debate for many years on who is the king of gaming. Please hear me out. You may debate but this is my decision.
For me Nintendo stands out from all the rest because of their innavation. Nintendo brought motion controls, touch screens, recently 3D and most importantly the holy (not really holy) D-pad! It seems to me that every time Nintendo has a big innovation, Microsoft and Sony cash in on it by marketing their products to pre-pubescent nine-year old boys by releasing a zillion (I know that's not a real number so don't ridicule me) 'hardcore' FPS' like stupid CoD. And for those people out there who say there's no hardcore games on Nintendo check out Resident Evil, MadWorld and there's a butt-ton of CoDs for Wii too. Also N64's Goldeneye practically made FPS a household name.
I grew up on Nintendo. I used to spend hours of time at my friends house playing his Nintendo 64 which we still play often to this day despite the console being 3 years older than us and it being almost 15 years next year! The problem that Sony and Microsoft have is that they have no innavation! They do nothing different to each other! The XBOX Kinect was Microsoft's go at recreating the Wii, minus controllers (which, to be honest wasn't the best idea mostly because it really wasn't that accurate.) Also Nintendo is host to probably the best third party devs ever with the likes of Capcom (Street Fighter and Mega Man) and Konami (Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, Silent Hill and Contra) making fantastic and addictive games. Also the the three best selling handheld game consoles (DS, Gameboy and Gameboy Advance) belong to Nintendo and the best selling videogame of all time is Super Mario Bros on NES.
Afterword- Nintendo pwns. Discuss

I find this kind of a funny because more pre-pubscent nine-year olds play Mario than CoD. Though I agree that a lot of companies stole from Nintendo, seriously? Kinect is a rip off of the Wii? The Kinect is like a Wii with a remote, nun chuck, and balance board all at once, except you can actually jump, run, do things with your legs and head, and be able to punch without throwing the remote at the TV!
On a side note, how many CoDs are on Nintendo?

Actually Kinect is the EXACT same as the eye-toy for the PS2.
The only thing holding Nintendo back is graphics, but that'll change with the wii-U. The Wii-U currently has the most powerful processor known to man, and the graphics are going to be amazing. Try monster hunter tri, it has amazing graphics and the gameplay is brilliant, Microsoft just ride off other's fame, like paying Notch to not release Minecraft for anything other than the Xbox.
Nintendo has potential, but it's never seen by game devs so they make really bad games with everything limited, people who make games just for Nintendo consoles make the best games.

I agree! And, if you think your grammar is bad, you should see how I type on Minecraft servers!

The motion+ is good for the wii, I could feel the game record my every move.

Every game console would be equal if CoD never existed.
Well, except the Gizmondo...

I believe that Nintendo is good, but I also think that Sony is what really turned it all into a great idea. The 3DS seems like it's actually someone based on a PSP.

FINALLY!
xbox is ok, Halo is fun, but wii is dawinna.

3 for the Wii, I think. Don't quote me, but I think you'll find COD: 3, Modern Warfare, and Modern Warfare 3. The DS has more than 2, I know that.

And I think you'll find that any reasonable gaming computer from the last 3 years has a better CPU than the XBOX 360.

I heard it was using the latest IBM one.

My main point is, it doesn't have the most powerful processor known to man. Although rumours have it that it 's processor is being made by ibm.

I disagree
Nintendo always forgets about more 1st-party games. They took out gameplay and graphics to make a Wii.
Nintendo was revolutionary. But not anymore. GO XBOX 360

I know that Nintendo isn't as powerful as Sony or Microsoft but does that actually matter? About degscratcher's question about CoDs on Wii I think there's Black Ops, MW3, MW2, World at War and CoD3

In my opinion microsoft is the best at the moment, then sony and nintendo
also, it's kinda obvious that nintendo has the best selling handhelds (because sony and microsoft don't really have handhelds)
and super mario bros is the best selling game because it's one of the older games and it was also bundled with the nintendo console.
personally I think nintendo games were the best during snes and n64 times, then sony had better games during ps2 times and now the xbox 360 has better games ^^

I agree with most of this. Nintendo is awesome, and brought around many gaming revolutions. In fact, despite I hate the graphics on it, I play my Wii more than the Xbox 360 (fully loaded S model with 250GB HDD and Kinect). You just can't beat the gameplay on it.
However, Microsoft isn't just a copycat. The Kinect is light years ahead of the Wiimote and PS Move. IDK why everyone says its accuracy is bad, I have NEVER had any problems. In fact, the Kinect has better accuracy than the Wiimote in my experience. People always hate on the Kinect, but the problem is the games, not the sensor. Most of the games for it are for little kids. I want to see Portal 2 with Kinect compatibility!
As for Sony, you are right about them. They have no innovation, imagination, or online service security.
