Re: Festivity Song for Scratch - Singers Needed!

If we do make the Scratch cat #1, I suggest: "An the Scratch Cat, to inspire me"; if we do replace #1, we'd need a new #5.  Any ideas for five?  Any votes for or against keeping/changing #1?

5 C-shaped blocks

or just

5 C-blocks

and i think your last line is better than mine, but I don't think you should rhyme me with me.

Good point.  The rhyming may not matter when there is more and more space between the first and last lines, but the first verse would be kind of weird.

On the first day of Christmas the Scratch Team gave to me
A Scratch Cat to inspire me  yikes

Re: Festivity Song for Scratch - Singers Needed!

Just throwing this out there:

We probably need the playing done before the singing so the singer has something to go off of, unless you want to transpose the key to fit the singer ( hmm ), or untune your piano ( yikes )!

Re: Festivity Song for Scratch - Singers Needed!

I believe I can produce it, if you want. I also has a guitar and a violin, so we could add that as harmony. Could you send me the file of you playing?

Very well! The file is up there, but if you know the notes I'd be happy to record the piano after your violin and song. Do you know them?

Just so you don't start off on a different scale, it's in F major.

Thanks mate.  smile  I'll get the recorded sometime this week.

Sort of busy and sick. Stuffy nose, means some intense breathing sounds in the recording, and I have to breathe awkwardly because my mouth is clamped shut trying to hold the violin on my shoulder. I'll record the guitar with the violin if you want.

Could you maybe record Piano for the whole song, and I'll model my recordings after the piano version?

I was thinking, since Christmas is approaching, I/we could adapt the song "12 days of christmas" and put Scratch words to it.

I am very willing to record the musical piano bits, and scratchers willing to sing could record the words onto it, and I would then piece it together and post it up online.

So what I'd like for now is see if anyone wants to volunteer for the singing (more than one person is accepted!)

Here are the lyrics for the song.

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
The Scratch Team sent to me
12 math equations
11 awesome pen blocks
10 gorgeous costumes
9 sprites and objects
8 different colours
7 blocks for making
6 boolean functions
5 orange cats!
4 awesome menus
3 blue tabs
2 friendly forums
And a canvas setting scratchers free

Thanks,
LS97

Very clever! I'll sing for you if you want!

Weeeeeell... I'm not exactly perfectly sure I can do that right now, without a piano...  tongue
I'm on holidays for two weeks. How about you record it and I follow you?
