As you can see, I am still a New Scratcher and I am very annoyed by all the things I can't do. For example; voting on suggestions, etc. At least I can write forums and use BBCode!
I don't even refer to myself as a New Scratcher. I got my account on, like, Aug. 9th! At least tell me when I'll be a Scratcher.

First there is not a time limit on when you'll become a scratcher, Second making a "can i be a scratcher now" may decrease your chance of bieng a scratcher. Third To become a scratcher you have to post friendly and helpfull comments here's an example:
Question: what is the scratch cat symbol on comments?
Good answer: The code only works in comments however the code is _meow_
Bad answer: look it up, i dunno
And try posting lots of projects that are helpfull. And try welcoming new scratchers. And DONT spam, troll or flame. And be VERY active on both main site and forums and do this untill you become a scratcher

Argh! Why is everyone misunderstanding me? I'm not asking to become a Scratcher!
I just don't like everything New Scratchers can't do!

1. Stop complaining, you are only making yourself look bad.
2. I wouldn't complain, you barely have any posts. 17 is NOT a lot.
3. Your posts should be helpful, not spam, happy faces or posts like, "Cool". I noticed you spammed on an announcement thread, don't do that.
4. You need to post projects, you're complaining when you only have like 7 projects. That's nothing! Some people have thousands.
5. DO NOT post a bunch of projects just to become a Scratcher, because the system will definetely notice that and make you wait even longer to become a scratcher.
6. Post helpful comments on people's projects.
7. Explore the site and try to take part in different activities.
8. Be friendly.
9. Follow the rules.
10. Read these 10 steps.
Sorry, JJRocker, that doesn't really help:/

New Scratchers are limited in what they can do because of commercial reasons. If someone was a commercial spammer, they would join the site and try to start advertising. People being a new scratcher when they come to the site stops this from happening because they cannot post as often.
It's like a deterrent for spammers, so you have to gain the community's "trust" in order to become a scratcher.

Yes, I understand. But why don't you actually stop complaining, then maybe you could become scratcher AND ALL THE LIMITATIONS WOULD BE OFF.

Guys, we all need to calm down. If we don't watch out, this'll turn into a flame war, and no one wants that.

OK, that makes me understand why New Scratchers can't make signatures or post links to another website, but what about suggestions?

What's a flame war?
Flaming, in an internet term is arguing heatedly on a topic. On the Scratch Forums, we don't want that. A flame war is like a "word"-war.

I agree
Hey, how are you guys supposed to know this? You're still New Scratchers.

OK. I don't really need this forum anymore, so how do you close it?

At the first original post, click Report, then ask for it to be closed.
