If you want me to do an album cover, I could sketch something and upload it, but I can't use photo editing tools, so you guys would have to do that.

Maybe a person standing next to each other in a music recording studio.

As for the album cover I was thinking more about two people sitting in a bench or something cliché like that.

I noticed.

I think there are a couple o` problems with WIBY. On the last couple of Life`s it fades down. I dont like the ending either. `alive` has 4 notes.
I think the fading down is because designer45 sang it like that. Pretty noticeable, I know. Could be fixed if it didn't take designer45 so long to record vocal tracks.
I didn't get the "4 notes" part but currently the ending sounds good to me.

The font isn't really fitting, and tbh it really looks like it was done quickly in MSPaint. That, and I don't really want a stock photo as the cover.
Here's the possibly final version of the song. I removed most noise from all tracks, added a fade out, and mastered the whole thing. It's also slightly louder.

You guys have made a big mark in the history on Scratch. Bluestribute made a band and failed. Raging Cats is on the verge of crumbling, and I myself tried to start an ensemble (jslomba might remember) which... Failed. This is the first and only successful band collab on Scratch. If the wiki allowed articles about users and projects, you guys totally deserve to be on there.
Also, I play clarinet if your willing to experiment with instrumentation

Better, but still I'd like to get someone who draws better to make the album art and be the graphic designer - no offense meant. I actually liked the idea - the album art should look sorta like that.

If we ever need another pianist or a clarinetist we'll let you know. I think you've already mentioned the clarinet in the previous FC thread
I appreciate those comments too
It's not totally successful imo, but maybe that's just because we almost never release stuff.
I understand the wiki not allowing articles about users and the such - people would fill the wiki with articles about their own stuff ("KITTY KILLER 2000 IS THE BEST PLATFORMER IN SCRATCH, PLAY NAO."), but personally I think some sort of community wiki is worth trying - famous users, projects and fads shape our online community's culture, and a wiki about it would archive all that.

I could design a fine album cover through GIMP for you guys. Also, when you are done with WIBY, I can help you guys with quite a few instruments and mixing once technoguyx is gone completely from Scratch (see the last post on the first page of this thread). I can work out certain counter parts for the songs to come. I recently uploaded a cover of The Beatles' Let It Be which is played, sung and mixed all by myself. I hope I can help you guys out in these ways.

@shiguy: We're not writers. Take the "by" out of it, and we're good.
@DIY: I'm not trying to ignore you, but we don't really need anything other than somebody who can mix sounds in Audacity, etc. If you can do THAT, it would be very much appreciated.

What exactly do you mean by mixing sounds? I have Audacity and I can do lots of basic things with it, but I just want to clarify what you mean by "mixing."

Well, its true that FC is a pretty big milestone. Abut the wiki, I know. I understand that the wiki is for Scratch-related things, not for spamming and advertising.
Also, thank you for replying. It's ok if I can't be part of the band right now, I'll wait. Hopefully you won't forget

I'm interested in that GIMP cover - we only need a decent single cover and we can release the new song. Something like what shiguy made but in a better drawing style. Maybe we can credit you both for the artwork, shiguy's would be the "concept" cover in a way.
If we need more instrumentation or additional mixing, we'll let you know, too.

Mixing in this context, means mixing every single instrument's track (drums, guitar, etc.) into one track. I think Audacity isn't a very good program for that though, since EQing or compressing tracks is much more tedious than in a proper DAW (google it) like Reaper or FL Studio.

Sure. I'll get shiguy's version of the cover redone and post it here as soon as I can. As for your later plans for the music, please keep me informed.
P.S. Who played the acoustic solo at the end of WIBY?

What do you guys think of it?
I was actually expecting a whole redraw from scratch, but this one is still an improvement - looks less MSPainted. Maybe you could make the "Frozen Coco" text a bit clearer, less blurry, and maybe make the art look more like a painting, the sun and clouds kinda remind me of something Van Gogh would make. You could also apply a texture to the hair of the people, it looks a bit plain.
EDIT: lolololol I capitalized "scratch"
