I am currently downloading iOS 5 for my iPod Touch 4th Generation. But I have a question. Is it worth the the 777.8 MB? I have a download cap on my internet, so I can not download too much, and if it is not worth it, it will be a waste. And also, is it worth slowing down the internet for at least 2 hours?

Yes. The new push notification system is really useful.

Yes, I LOVE iOS5 on my iPad! Notification center is the best.
But, when you say "worth the restore" you understand that backing up your files before restoring keeps all your files and apps, right? You understand that the only thing bad abut restoring is the time it takes to download, right?

Absolutely. I love multitasking gestures. Need to switch apps? Swipe with four fingers. Need to go to the home screen? pinch with four fingers. Need to access another running app? Swipe up with four fingers.

His point is that we have a download cap on our internet (17GB/mo). Is iOS 5 worth using a sizable chunk of that?

Well... It is good. Maybe start the DL at the end of the month if you have enough remaining... I've never had a cap so I don't know how quickly that fills up.

Yeah, I love gestures.
However, he has an iPod and the iPod doesn't have gestures.

The cap is not based on calendar months. If you have used more than 17GB in the last 30 days, they cut off your internet access.
If you love Youtube, 17GB/mo fills up like a water balloon attached to a fire hose.

Well well well... The iPod gets the camera lock screen thing and the iPad doesn't (grrrrrrr) but at least the iPad gets a better benefit.

Yes, it is worth it.

iPad? 100% worth it, so many things.
iTouch/iPhone? 60% worth it, the instant shortcut to camera, the new camera features and other features make it worth it.
