Picasa?
I just tried it out, that one works pretty well (finally, something that doesn't compress my PNG files into pixelated mush!), although the URL is somewhat lengthy to use...
I'll take a look at it Dropbox later (*is feeling too tired to sign up on websites*). If it keeps my PNG images intact and doesn't use a lengthy URL, then I'll switch over to Dropbox.Ah you might be slightly let down by lengthy URLs, but they're not THAT bad.
Edit: a quick search here shows that Dropbox.com can be reduced to db.tt with shorter URLs.Hmm... seems like the URL shortener is mostly for file access, though, not necessarily shortening the URL of the image.
I think I'll keep using Picasa for my images since I already have a Google account, but I think I'll also use Dropbox for other stuff (seems quite handy as a place for file storage).
it is really useful, I use it to host two web sites, many of my school assignments, etc. My english teacher says not to, with the claim "what if the internet goes out," but if the internet goes out there will be riots in the streets and there would be bigger issues than the assignment being overdue. Also, if the internet went out, how could I connect to the printer?

Have you tried imgur? It is quick, high bandwidth, low (maybe no? I am not sure) compression, image hosting. Your images will not be taken if they receive at least 1 view every 6 months.

imgur seems to use shorter links. I think I'll switch over to imgur.

I use imgpaste.com. Though there are no management capabilities, it is really easy and quick to use, needs no sign-up, and gives tiny urls you can store in a txt file. And retains image quality. My only problem with it is the url returned doesn't include the http://www. prefix, so I have to add it manually.
So do I. And I started using it when it had 18 registered members and about 100 images uploaded

Now, of course, there are over 3,000...

I'm a imgur fan
TIP: the API images can be shortened using bit.ly, tinyurl, etc.

Do you still need help? If you have a Mac, there’s an app you can download called “CloudApp” and it does everything you seem to need it to.
It’s quick, and relatively short urls, it doesn’t compress, and you can manage your photos.

I'm suprised no-one has said this.
Imageshack.us (It's freemium)
It doesn't convert file types, but it won't host animated gifs without a premium.
It rhymes! Nooooo!
BTW, sorry for being an idiot ^_^

SeptimusHeap suggested it before. It didn't work for me since it compressed some of my PNG files.

I use Dropbox, I can use it for so many things as well as image hosting too, it's brilliant for collabs.

Huh, This is one of those rare moments where you make a topic. I think I can help.
Try ImageShack. There's also FreeImageHosting.
I Don't like PhotoBucket so much, but for some reason, I Use it a LOT For putting pictures on the forums.

That’s no good, then. Because CloudApp is perfect.
What I’m trying to say is, get a Mac.
