Could not read project . . .

Every time I try to download a project, I get the same error message from Scratch: "Could not read project; file may be damaged; (bad header).

At first I thought the project I was downloading was the problem, but then the error occurred with another project I tried to download. What is more, Scratch projects won't even load for me ONLINE! Is anyone having the same errors? My browser is Mozilla Firefox, but I tried to download a project with Internet Explorer and had the same results. I have not messed with any Scratch related files or the source code.

Re: Could not read project . . .

The Bad Header error often shows up if you are running version 1.2 (or older) and try and load up a project created in version 1.3.  You might want to check the version of your Scratch installation - you may need to upgrade to 1.3.

You can see the version you are currently running by opening Scratch with an empty project and looking at the top of the window.

I think it has to do with the maintenance because I use 1.3.1 and a while ago all the files were damaged.

I've taken a long hiatus, but I still visit sometimes. Give me some time to answer any messages you post on my projects!

Re: Could not read project . . .

I have 1.3, and I definitely haven't messed with any Scratch-related files. Yet now it is working. I guess that is the weird thing about advanced technology . . .
