is there a way to make your own .gif?

Making .gifs through Scratch? Don't think that works.
You can save several costumes as pictures and use a .gif creator in another to do so, however.
You can also use animated .gifs already saved on your computer, though, in your Scratch projects. Just import the same .gif into a sprite twice, I'm pretty sure that's how you get all the frames in.
Hope this helps you.

I use photoscape. It's simple, had loads of options and can create animations! (It's also free).
