Not an element, but the essence of energy. Pure energy can move everywhere, even through the fabric of the universe.
Same with me! I would be like the energy of darkness!

I would be potassium.

If you mean the four silly elements, I would probably want to be air.

I would like to be air.
Flying where I please, Seeing all-and-everything, causing storms or gentle winds...
(not farts, thnkuvrymch)
AND I COULD ANNOY MY YOUNGER BRO BY BLOWING IN HIS FACE
:DDDDDDDDDDD
Or I could be the element of patience (wichisomewhatlack)

Lava. I burn things in my path and my fury rages.

If I were just one, I couldn't really control much else. As fire, I rely on air to grow bigger, so not all spaces allow me to be fire.
As air, I can blow only as I move myself in and out of low pressure. To create storms and other things of nature, I require the element of water.
Vice versa with water. If I were water, I am constantly in danger of the sun, and to create waves and greater things, I am reliant on the earth.
As earth, I am almighty. I can do anything with land that I desire. But for land to form, I need water, fire and air.
Truly, being one element is quite hard, but that is only in the literal sense.
In the literal sense, I'd have to be Earth.
In the more fantasized sense, I'd be water. Flowing so freely, freezing and unfreezing. Becoming a gas to get from one place, and ice to fall down another.
