Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Re: The 2nd Annual Scratch Awards

Hi, Hobbs1100!

I was wondering if I could be a judge for the best game category. If that category is taken, I would like to be the judge of 3D.

Thanks,

Re: The 2nd Annual Scratch Awards

I"LL BE THE ANIMATION JUDGE you know i'll be an animator when i grow up
ive even writen a book report about it! see

COMPUTER ANIMATION
BOOK BY: DARCY LOCKMAN
PUBLISHED: 2001

Computer animation has been around since the 1950’s. It has helped characters like Mickey Mouse come to life. Computer animation is used in many ways. It’s even used to train pilots! There are two ways to make a cartoon. Today you watch animation on your TV made by a computer. But before that animators had to draw each cell separately.

Cells are a group of pictures with the next one slightly different from the one before. If you flip these drawings it will create animation. This is called Traditional animation. This made the first movies.

Today we use Computer animation. First you have to make all the characters. You can do this by drawing a picture then scanning it, or by drawing on a digital pad, which put the drawings on the computer instantly. It takes a long time to create a film, but it’s all worth it when people see it.

These are three questions I have on animation
. About how long does it take to make a full-length film?
. How do you make 2D character 3D?
. How long does it take to make a 15-minute cartoon?

NXTGeek... On the very first post of this thread are the links to all the galleries where people have submitted there games. Simply click on the one you are judging, try out all the projects in the catagory and tell Hobbs who you voted for 1st, 2nd and 3rd (Unsure if there is going to be a 2nd and 3rd though.)

Hope that helps!

It's always said better in pink XD for I am the invisible man!
