Chapter 1: The restrictions

When you start out on the Scratch forums, you have these restrictions:

Cannot post in misc
Cannot edit posts
Cannot delete posts
Cannot use [img] tag
Cannot use [url]tag
Have to wait 180 seconds before posting again

Of course, those restrictions are only for New Scratchers. Scratchers can of course make those rules go away!

Chapter 2: How to become a Scratcher!

To become a Scratcher, you must be active! I've seen many people complaining about the New Scratcher rule when they had 5 posts and no projects. First of all, I got Scratcher when I had 170 posts. To increse the rate of getting promoted sooner, remember to:

Be helpful
Post constructive criticism
Welcome newbies

And more!

But seriously. New Scratcher seems like it's way too strict. I never was one but that like what ten minute thing. I mean seriously, I would post like once and then say forget it.

but yeah being a hobbyist of various sorts i find ways to deal
im trying to not come off as the "i really just want to be here for misc, so hurry up n make me a scratcher so i can do what i came here for" type (but i probably am anyway)
