Top 5 software

Let's compile a list of top 5 software for all sorts of platforms! Just post your list below. Give the platform (Mac, iOS, Wii, etc.) and category (Survival kit, entertainment, productivity, etc.). It's okay to leave two or three blank slots if you can't think of five.

EXAMPLE:

Top 5 Mac Apps — Survival Kit
TextEdit — Text editor that edits all sorts of files
Safari — Web browser with brilliant developer tools and awesome speed
Xcode — Code editing for many languages, with syntax highlighting, code folding, and code completion.
Preview — Image and PDF viewer with simple editing tools.
Grab — Simple screenshot taking

Microsoft Word — Text editor that edits all sorts of files
Firefox or Google Chrome — Web browser with brilliant developer tools and awesome speed
Paint — Image and PDF viewer with simple editing tools.
The "Print Screen" button — Simple screenshot taking

Word is horrid, I'll give you that. But TextEdit can't do anything right. You can't even edit HTML source!

Personally, I like AppleWorks best, except I don't have it anymore.  I use Word because I like to type in page-format.  That's the one thing I don't like about TextEdit.

Note: PortableApps.com does not run natively on Linux... you need WINE to use it.

Notepad++ ~ everything notepad should have been XD
Lazarus ~ pascal ide
Paint.net ~ I would say gimp but my dir. got messed up and it no longer works ;_;
Chrome ~ best browser ever
Scratch ~ duh

Actually I use it to write Java, Ruby, HTML, and a little Perl so far.

Top Five:

Really usefull stuff you might need.. incase... stuff... needs doing... or happens

1. Audacity - Sound editing
2. Germanix Transcoder - Then convert it to over 15 file types, icluding AAC, TAK, MP3, and many others that nobody has every really heard of
3. BandiCam - Record stuff.
4. Firefox - Surf the internet. epicly
5. Scratch - You know.
