Scratch 1.2 will be released around the middle of November.
A beta-test version of Scratch 1.2 is now available for those interested in helping us with testing and debugging.
Those not interested in testing the potentially buggy, beta version of Scratch should wait for the final Scratch 1.2, which will include a more complete sample projects library, updated help files, and bug fixes.
The beta version may be downloaded from http://scratch.mit.edu/pages/beta
For a list new features, see http://scratch.mit.edu/pages/beta-release-notes
Please report any problems using the form at http://scratch.media.mit.edu/contact/us
Thank you for using Scratch and Happy Halloween!

Cool. First post.
Looks really good so far. Nice job re the interface improvements. Haven't seen any issues yet. Looking forward to playing with the trig functions. Kudos to the Team.

Cool new blocks. I am going to see if I can put those new math functions to good use
The one block I was really hoping for was a touching "sprite" at x,y block. Put that one at the top of your to do list

I've downloaded it and the new blocks are great! What does the "comment" block do though?

As I understand it, the 'comment' block doesn't 'do' anything. You can use it to explain the ideas behind your code to others, who are downloading your project. IMO It's a really great way to make code more shareable among the community and among the most valuable improvements to Scratch.

Hey guys at the Scratch Team:
Overall great job. I was really hoping for a when I receive hexagon or something of the sort. See my topic http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=717.
Love the Beta logo!
ALSO: The last block in the looks section goes below the block section. Scroll bar needed.

NOTE TO MIT: Well, I have scratch beta and I tried to download a project, it wouldn't let
me though, nor any other ones. Please help!
Could you describe step by step what you did and the error message you might have gotten? Thanks! A screenshot would be great.

Ok,well, I downloaded archmage's 'mario rechaged' and it said 'error' when its came up in scratch. Then I tried downloading my 'SPEEDOZ ALPHA' and it said 'error' aswell.

I just uploaded a little test project done in 1.2 beta, and it doesn't work online either. Seems the online version is not yet supporting the new format (?)

ANOTHER BUG:
When a sprite has pen down, a box with the color it is outputting is overlapping the lock/unlock button.

Hey evhan55- did you get my other bug?

I also found another one! In any box where you find a location on your computer (save or open) "Documents" leads to your user folder, not your documents.
Example: My Documents is- C:\Documents and Settings\Tyler\My Documents\
When I click 'documents' in Scratch, it goes here:C:\Documents and Settings\Tyler\
Get what I am saying?

Hi relyt12101!
Could you post a screenshot or describe the scrollbar bug by any chance? Do you happen to know which resolution you operate in? (800x600, 1024x768, etc)? We have also noticed a slight bug with the scrollbars, and I'd like to verify that it is the same bug we are seeing.
Thanks very much for the 'My Documents' bug, we will look into that one as well!

BIG BUG: When I make a sprite, it does't ever show the sprite box at the bottom.
It is in both versions 1.1 and 1.2
