Redstone, combat is really bad in Minecraft yet Notch made the whole game revolve around it, I just like mining and crafting.

Then why do you have a PvP server
It's more about strategy, using resources smartly. I don't enjoy clicking while my crosshair is over them, I enjoy knowing that my town is safe and my plan beat theirs. If it was up to me, I'd have a health bar and make the combat slower, but that's just me.
