I'm doing Ludum Dare 22 in scratch as a jam! The theme is "alone". Any plot ideas? All I've thought of so far is
Boy in a large city leaves home on a journey to save the world by himself.
What do you think, too cliche? Any ideas? I'm starting it tomorrow.

Another idea!
Boy who is bullied at school (alone socially) gets super powers (maybe some other kind of thing that makes him powerful)

Since you know java, why not do it in that? Scratch, while very good, is somewhat limited.

I only know enough java to make a text based thing, and I don't want to be messing around with graphics for my first time during a dare

I see. In that case, follow these instructions:
1.Use Scratch to compete in Ludum Dare 22
2. Learn more Java
3. Compete in Ludum Dare 23
4. ???
5. PROFIT!
Sorry, I had to do that.
