In the Filipino culture, there's something called a "Balikbayan Box", a shipped package containing gifts from a Filipino that doesn't live in the Philippines (who is called a "balikbayan"). I remember when I had to pack a balikbayan box with a lot of treats for my cousin (like M&Ms, Marshmallow Peeps, and Pringles Chips, apparently those things aren't so well known in the Philippines whereas they're pretty commonplace in US stores). 
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease
