Aw, that's sad.

Last year this boy in the year above me died of cancer, about a week after Christmas. It must have been the worst Christmas ever for his relatives and friends, as they'd just be worrying about him all the time instead of getting all Christmassy. :'(

I know what you mean. I lost my sister to cancer when she was 5 years old. I was 9. I'm sorry about your friends dad.

Oh no.  sad

That's really awful! I'm really sorry about all this; it's a whole lot of bad stuff happening all at once.

You're dealing with a lot. Be easy on yourself. Call your friend in Wales every day, share your problems with her. She'll listen; it's what best friends are for.

Your friends who are losing their parent are having a rougher time than even you.
The truth is, we all think, deep down, that those close to us are immortal. That they're not going to die, despite what we might say. So when that smile, that voice, that laugh is taken away, it's hard to believe at first.
It takes awhile for it to sink in. And when it does, it hurts.

So talk to your friend Jacob. Ask him if he wants to talk about it or not; for some people, talking helps more than we know, and for others, it's painful.

This has seriously made me think, today could be the last day I live. You never know what's gonna happen! O:

Now, whenever I'm angry at my parents or something, I'm just gonna think "What if that was the last thing I ever said to them?" and then I'll stop being angry! :')

Thankies! :D

Yeah, it is pretty bad for him. We all suffer in different ways, I suppose. He has lost his dad, even though he is still technically alive. I've had abandonmnt by my own parents in it's simplest form. It's worse for him though...

Reminds me of a story! It happened to some people in my family.
They were married, when one night they had an argument (I dunno what it was about) but anyway they didn't settle the argument, and went to bed not speaking, both mad at each other.
The man woke up in the morning for work, but never came back to his wife in the evening... he worked as a truck driver; and had been killed in a road accident. The last things they had said to each other was basically the argument the night before...
Just shows you that life is fragile, right? :L

Good for you.  smile

We're all on a long, bumpy, dangerous, winding path. Life is a story, and every good story has terrible things happen to the characters.
You have hit a pretty bad rut in your road!

They said to the social they couldn't cope and dumped me on them. They didn't care at all. I was the reason their marriage broke down. I am the reason that my sisters (whom I have never met) have split up parents and the one was in hospital last time they wrote. But they don't even write any more. Pfft, story of my life. Life IS fragile; it's easy -- too easy -- to forget just how much it can be.

My (ex)friend's really insensitive too. I told him about how I get depressed and stuff, and then about a week later he joins everybody else and starts picking on me. :'(

I just think to myself "So what? They'll be the ones living on the streets when they're older, not me".

Ha, that's what I do when people pick on me for being skinny.
I say, "Hey, it's a good thing I'm skinny now, because when I'm older I'll be pretty fit. You can just continue eating your Big Macs and Whoppers, my friend."
