Re: Virus!

The virus keeps on coming back every day but the protection software destroys it right away. Should I be worried or need to get this fixed?

It's probably a good idea to get rid of it permanently so that it doesn't cause lag, and definitely if there's a chance that it's not going away and just hiding itself.

Re: Virus!

AVG free worked amazing on my PC before I sold it. If it keeps coming back, there's a good chance there is a copy hiding and duplicating itself. Scan once more, and delete all viruses and if that doesn't work tell your parents. P.S. Norton sucks. Install good Malware because some anti viruses block some types of viruses, but creates other viruses. Srry this is so long. P.P.S. I'm terrified when that "You have a virus" message pops up. XD

FWI for all,I don't get on much anymore.

Thanks for a useless reply.

All of you don't get it. I have everything on this computer. It's not so easy to switch to another computer and get rid of one. You guys aren't really thinking, especially the people who are telling me to get a new computer.

This computer is fairly new and THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!!!!

The computer is not affected at all by the "Virus" but all I was saying was it keeps coming back.

I'm not going to be getting another computer or program for a long time so stop with that.

Only post if you are going to give me helpful replies.

Re: Virus!

In that case, make sure that it's gone. Then either you or your parents should check the program make sure they're no glitches. As a last resort,(you probably won't have to do this but for your info),there is a code to restore your computer (this will reset your computer to factory settings). Sorry if my previous response wasn't helpful.

Re: Virus!

If it's not affected by the virus but it's still there it may be a phishing thing or something. Look up what you got on another compy.

Open up your PC. Then get an IDE hard drive. Next unplug ONE CD drive and connect its cables to the IDE HD. Unplug the affected HD and insert a Windows install CD into the working CD drive. Boot from the CD and (re)format the drive with NTFS. Install Windows on it then shut down your PC. Plug the affected HD back into the PC and boot off of the IDE drive. Go into the affected drive's FS and take whatever you can from it. (If you get an "Access is Denied" message, go here.) After you have everything copied, do a virus scan then shut down and disconnect the IDE HD. Plug the CD drive back in and boot off of the CD again. Reformat the affected HD with NTFS and reinstall Windows. Shut down again, disconnect the CD drive, reconnect the HD then boot off the then-affected HD. Move your data back to the then-affected HD then shut down, remove the IDE HD then plug your CD drive back in. Boot into the reinstalled OS and everything should be good again!

When WindozeNT Software Operating System gets released, recovering your PC after a virus attack will be much easier. I plan to have a System Recovery Disc that does all the work for you.

Re: Virus!

I've had hundreds at once, due to seven backdoor trojans.
Re-formatted all drives except C and fdisked like 20% of it, and then ran a super scan with malwarebytes, then AVG Internet Security

killed them ALL

Good that you got rid of them. I'm going to get in touch with someone so they can help me  big_smile

It's not that type.
If it was, it'd be long dead.

It's a computer-embedded one.

just boot from a linux live cd and copy all your important stuff (and not the virus) on to another drive or cd that hasn't got a virus, then format and reinstall windows...
