Here I go again, fighting Scratch... making it do things for which it wasn't designed...
Try my newest game:
BoltBait's Hangman
It includes about 500 words in its dictionary with clues for each.
Also, it has an onscreen keyboard widget that might be useful for other games.
My biggest challenge, of course, was the utter lack of string handling capabilities of scratch. I worked around that by converting the letters to numbers and using lists. Hopefully, this string handling technique will inspire other games.
Be sure to post your comments after playing the game.

My next game is almost ready for publishing.
Should I publish now? Or, wait until Hangman falls off the front page?
Opinions?
Publish it now! I really want to see it and it won't be long before Hangman falls off anyway so it's not like your 'hogging' the front page.

BTW, did you notice that I rewrote the Keyboard Widget to eliminate the timing issues, lockups, and cheats?

Your games are very good and I enjoy them very much. I was a bit disturbed, though, when I read the title of this thread. To me it seems that you are saying that all the other hangman games on Scratch are "lame". If that was your intent, it shows a certain lack of respect for your fellow Scratcher's efforts.
What about it? Am I reading too much into this?

Sorry, I really didn't mean to be that harsh.
Unfortunatly, I can't seem to edit the thread title.
(I would, if I could.)

A "widget" is just a thing. So, saying that I updated the "keyboard widget" just means that I updated the part of the program that deals with the keyboard.
