BYOB is a Scratch modification that lets you create your own blocks. Here is how to make them:
1. Go to variables and hit the make a block button (or right click and hit make a block).
2. Click on the type of block you want to make (sound, control, operators, etc. ).
3. Click on the shape you want the block to be.
4. Type what you want the block to say in the box(this may be edited later so don't stress out).
5. If you want to add a place to put input, move the mouse up to the block and hit the + button right where you want the space. To chose the shape of the space of your input spot, hit the black arrow and click the type you want. You must give this spot a name.
6. Drag blocks like you normally would, but this time drag them into the place with your block.
7. Note that they must connect to the hat block.
8. These blocks will trigger when your block runs.
9. If you have input in your block (see step 5), the input spots will appear as variables. To use the input, drag the variable (the one in your block) to where you want it.
10. If you want to edit the text of your block, click the text you want to edit and change it.
11. When you're done, hit OK and go to the set of blocks that yours should be in. Now you can use it!
Have fun and Scratch on!
P.S. The text below was made with BYOB.
