We need an image for a small window that pops up when you click a link to another site from Scratch. The idea is to show the Scratcher who clicked the link that they are leaving Scratch.
We have a pretty specific idea for this one: A scratch cat on a boat on the sea, sailing away - maybe even waving goodbye. Here's an image that came to mind when we thought of this.
(It doesn't have to be just like this one, but we thought we'd show it for inspiration).
Want to make an image like this for us to consider using?
It should be 300 x 300 px (standard bitmap file type is fine, but svg is better). Post images here!

I'm on it!

How's this?
I would've put it in an svg file, but GIMP wouldn't let me
It's in a BMP file, though.

Great start, that was amazingly fast!
Let's see what feedback others give on ways to improve it.
A few thoughts: maybe make the eyes looking more at us, instead of down and to the front of Scratch Cat? And I know this one'll be hard, but make him wave at us? (I don't even know what that'd look like...)

Ok, I'll do that

Ok, I made the eyes look at you, but I'm not really sure how to make the wave better. I kind of thought it already looked like the Scratch Cat was waving.

Maybe if the arm were raised higher, it would look more like it was waving? Or, I suppose we could use comic-style motion lines or something...

Yeah, I was thinking that if the arm was raised higher is would look more like the cat was waving.
The only thing is, the arm would kind of be covered up by the head if I raised it any higher, and it would kind of look weird if the arm was in front of the head.

Good? I used the scratch font! (well I made it in scratch so I had to edit to get the - and !, both of which I did by editing the 1)
Hmmm....I like the comic look, but I think the "Good bye" text is a bit too big and colorful.

If only I was better in art...
I have a great idea for this, but it would require a lot of work and talent...
Well, I'll just share my idea here.
Here it is:
There is Scratch on a sailboat, facing the opposite direction from who's looking at it (you), thus away from the screen and toward the background, while the water has little waves. A small island is in the background, where the cat it looking, and it has mountains, a nice beach, and a bright sun above it, in a cloudless day. Perhaps a lens flare would make the effect better. So, yeah, the idea is Scratch cat is sailing away from the island of Scratch in the background on a sailboat, off to a distant island (another website). Scratch is facing away from whoever's looking at the image, if I didn't make that clear. That probably means it'd be a custom image of everyone's favourite feline. _meow_ is leaving the great island nation of Scratch!
Yeah. If I was better at drawing, I'd do it, but I'm pretty much the worst drawer in the school. If any other better artist wants to use my idea, that's kinda why I put it in this post, so go ahead.

BTW, lightnin, I know this is offtopic, but scratchia is up now!

Edit: Eyes moved upward
That's quite cool, but I hope you don't mind me asking: why is the river in the sky? At least that's what it looks like.

Heres my entry
I know the scratch cats not waving, but I liked it. Thanks to PaperMario123 for the basic idea, I tweaked it a little/ a lot (I took the idea of the scratch cat not facing the user)

Hi there! Here's my try...
Link: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-mQwrnUfmbUg/TvC-br8OGrI/AAAAAAAAEFo/c8qpZIJ9vG8/s300/leaving%252520scratch_2.jpg
This is the version with no lens flare effect...

And here's one with it.
This is all fully changeable, so if there's any problem with it I can fix it.
-- LockedOn.
Postscript: Some credit must be given to PaperMario123 for suggesting that a lens flare be added. I probably wouldn't have thought of that if he hadn't suggested it.

Here's my attempt...I took fungirl123's nice boat image and moved it a bit off-shore so that I could put the "Land of Scratch" in the foreground with Gobo waving goodbye. It may be too detailed now though

Hmmm....I like it.
It seems a bit blurry, still, though. Maybe if it was smaller, it would look nicer?
