Miscellaneous Specific Moderators

Lots of people stick specifically to Miscellaneous when it comes to the forums, and I think those who want to become moderators who stick only to miscellaneous miss out on the chance because of that specific activity.

If we had a miscellaneous specific moderator, we could also have better moderation of that specific area, considering it is definitely the least controlled area of the forums.

Miscellaneous is a place of free reign, child appropriate discussion, where no one has to worry about keeping it related to scratch. This place has a mount of rules though, and they aren't always followed. There are some topics that end up untouched when they need to be reconstituted by a moderator because Misc. isn't always the very first priority to Scratch. If we had a moderator to have Misc. as a first priority, I'm sure that it would keep that specific forum much cleaner than it has been.

Re: Miscellaneous Specific Moderators

I wholly support this, as a present moderator of the Text-Based Games, and I see how this would help  smile

Re: Miscellaneous Specific Moderators

I think there should be one or two.  smile  Good idea. When I'm browsing (still a New Scratcher, so I can't post, but I can browse), I never see one post from a forum Moderator, yet some threads might need one.

I fully support.

Re: Miscellaneous Specific Moderators

Yes! Maybe the age limit could be smaller, as no innapropriate things have been posted ever since I started posting in Misc. in September. Most of the things that need moderation in Misc. is a whole super-sized can of fresh Hormel SPAM. I also think that the requirements would be:

1. Parent Permission
2. Age of 11 or older
3. Been active in Misc. for 3-6 months (or so)
4. Positive Interactions on site
5. Community Guidelines "Stuff"

I also think that there shouldn't be an election. Instead, the Scratch Team would choose 1 or 2 every time they ask for nominations.

I hope you use some of my suggestions for your suggestion!  wink

Re: Miscellaneous Specific Moderators

Please don't capitalize veggieman001. And I think the age limit should be 13, if not older.

You don't see the really bad stuff because it is deleted fast.
But the age limit should be at least 13.

Re: Miscellaneous Specific Moderators

I definetly support! Since the misc. forum is one of the most popular, this would very much be necessary!

Sooner or Later. Or sooner. Not much, except for a lot. In a way. But it will come no matter what.

Re: Miscellaneous Specific Moderators

Okay good I got here before a moderator did

We do have Miscellaneous only Moderators. Those are the new ones like Harakou, fullmoon etc. The other moderators that you never see are (surprise) in the other sections that you never visit!

Harakou is, yes. But fullmoon isn't. He helps all around.
