Are you referring to extending the Simple Scrolling sample project? Because all you have to do is look at the scripts, draw extended terrain, and follow the logic of the scripts to extend the scroller. An example would be my Cat RPG.

Yeah, I would imagine that you may have a bit of trouble with that if you don't understand the code.
