Thx,

Maybe. But first, you do realize that the newspaper is about topics outside of Scratch, right? Namely, video games.

Hi All4one,
You may remember me from my Scratch Awards contest. I would like to run for co-president/editor/whatever-other-option-is-available as I am a skilled and hard-core gamer. I am very good at editorial work and I am a very good speller indeed. I would be grateful if you could find me a place in the team and since I update my Scratch profile regularly, I promise to be a dedicated member if I get in!
Thanks,
Locker

Ah, yes, I remember you! I thought your name sounded familiar. I think you would best fit in the substitute editor section, out of the two jobs you can submit for here.

Thank you! So when do I do editing for the second issue?

I would like to be a co-editor because I know a lot of information about Nintendo, for example, Super Mario Bros. sold 40.26 million units worldwide, Eiji Anouma actually disliked The Legend of Zelda, because he never beat the game, it was until A Link to the Past, when he started liking the games and Dan Green (actor of Pokemon, Sonic and others) lost his wife to childbirth earlier this month. I have excelled in spelling, I never get a word wrong, (there will be someday) and I have been playing games since the age of four (yes FOUR). I can find news on Wi-Fi events, like the new Victini that was out on 3rd December and finishes on 31st January. I am always looking to find out more about games. I was pushed around for seven years. Scratch is my perfect place, and becoming co-editor would be one of the best things that could happen to me. All4one, if you have read this and you have taken it all in... Thank you. I could only ask to be co-editor.

Oh, you were just nominated for the substitute editor position. You didn't exactly get the job yet. First, I got to look over all the nominations and choose the best one.
I'm going to finish up submissions today by the way, and then I will announce the winner of both co-president and substitute editor tomorrow. ^^

Very impressive!
I think, though, that because you seem to like to write articles, I think you would fit as one of the "Main Article Writers".
The reason I say this is because co-editors don't really get to write their own stuff. They only get to write down others articles in a Scratch project and post it - you don't get to write your own stuff.
So would you like to be an article writer?
EDIT: I'm about to close this topic, so could you reply to this on the official Gamer's Delight forum? Thanks.

I would like to be an editor
To start, I have made my own successful magazine/newspaper on Scratch already called Rockers Weekly. I have also taken part in other Scratch newspapers too. I actually wrote a page in a real newspaper a few years ago and I was in it
I also have a lot of experience with Scratch and help out all around. I noticed that the games so far are mostly ones for the 3DS and game systems like that. For me, I am a huge iPod, iPhone and iPad gamer. I know about all the good new apps and have over 200 on my iPod. I could bring a whole new category to the newspaper. I also have good grammar and am sort of a spelling/grammer freak. When people text me, they send messages like "how r u?". With me, I type everything out and make sure everything is spelled correctly and I am using correct grammar. I am probably the most active user on Scratch too!
Thanks,
JJROCKER

Dear All4one, I would love to be the new president of Gamer's Delight. I feel that this magazine has great potential and I will assure you that if I get elected, it will become the most popular. I will make sure a new issue comes out every two weeks, with a deadline for everyone to write their article 2 days before, to make sure I have enough time to make it into a Scratch project. This is an awesome idea, and if I get elected, it will live on.

By the way, you do realize that if you're co-president, you don't get to edit the issues. You just kind of supervise production. Just checking.

The results are in!
I have now determined who will be our co-president and substitute editor!
To find out who won in both jobs - check out the roster on Gamer's Delight official forum.
We got a lot of great submissions! Don't feel discouraged if you lost. Everybody's submission was excellent and it was hard to choose. For those of you who didn't get picked, I'll still remember you guys, and choose you if I need another important job done at Gamer's Delight.
- All4one
EDIT: Also, if you have been elected, be sure to check out the latest post I have posted on the Gamer's Delight forums.
