Hi dere, i want to get minecraft but i don't want to have zombies or skeletons in the game. is it possible that i could get mine craft and put it on peaceful the whole time?

Lol yeah. i like creepers and enders but i hate all the other ones. i wish i could play it with just them. enders don't bother people so they are cool.

You could download a mod. And you really don't have to worry about creepers, because you rarely see them in Hard mode, so if you put it on easy, they'd be practically non existent.

Related: I built my home area into the side of a mountain, which meant that to get in/out of in, I had to do a lot of climbing up and down. There is one area where the climb down a really long ladder and then my front door is right there. So one time I was climbing down that ladder, and when I got to the bottom, I realized I had to go back out. So i turned around, and there was a creeper right in front of me. The only way he could've gotten there was if he fell down the ladder, but it was too high for any mob to survive a fall...how the HECK did he get there? tongue

tl;dr: I was climbing down a really tall ladder, and when I got to the bottom I turned around to go back up, only I found a creeper and it exploded.

Related: I built my home area into the side of a mountain, which meant that to get in/out of in, I had to do a lot of climbing up and down. Go to settings and click on Difficulty until it says Peaceful.

I thought that the difficultly settings (with the exception of peaceful) only affected how much damage mobs did, not how much they spawned. hmm

Yeah, but in order to download mods, a lot of them require you download a Mod Installer, and because it gives the program access to all of you're games data, it's possible you could download a virus and it could delete all your worlds...so that's why I don't hassle with them, plus I just enjoy vanilla Minecraft

Yes, you can set it on peaceful. But I don't know why you want to, because monsters are part of the reason minecraft is fun and challenging! smile

ProTip - set it on peaceful. I'm more of a builder than an adventurer (though I still want to do it legit in survival) and peace makes things easier.
