Thanks for posting that. This further proves people just see this forum as an online chat.
It wasn't meant for that, thank you little person without ears. -_-

I agree that it should be deleted, or moved to a separate thing like the TBGs with different categories. Miscellaneous is silly.

I sorta support. I mean, there could be restrictions to what there is, not just "everything that has nothing to do with Scratch." I use that forum sometimes too. It isn't THAT bad...

I completely agree

I don't support... :\

Nope. I disagree. We just need Less trolls and more safer rules on posting.

I was always for keeping this forum up. But now I've just gotten sick of it.
It is the source of all spam, twitter updates, cool stories by bros and flames. I always believed it was there so we could all get to know each other, but now it's just ridiculous. A freakin' web comic was made to make fun of it. I think you all have to agree the misc forums have been going on long enough.
So, i think it's time to take it down.

Don't want it closed? Look below. How many flame-bait or worthless topics do you see?

The Mis Forum was not made for flaming. It was the trolls that invaded it in 2010 and turned it bad -_-. It was not made for chatting either. it was just made to bring the community together -_-.

But then all the cool people who only ever post on misc would leave!

That's part of the good part. The other part is that the spam stops

I agree. Ending Misc would mean that people that actually use Scratch would stay, and all of the spam and flaming would disappear, after the pouters spammed up the rest of the forums and got banned.

Hey veggieman, you're one of the persons that post constantly on Misc.
Just so you know.
I know.
The closing of Misc would motivate me to do something actually with worth in my childhood.

Yep, it might. And if not, the Suggestions section would be littered with hundreds of "REOPEN MISC!!!!!!" threads.
Sorry, but I disagree. Keep Misc open!

Bearing in mind what Scratch is, and its purpose, I think Miscellaneous is unnecessary. But bearing in mind the intended audience, and the people who use the site, I think it's a nice addition.
I love looking into things like this. Miscellaneous has built itself its own little community, just like how there is a distinct Advanced Topics community, and an All About Scratch Community, and so on.
Then the main site is just a melting pot of communities- anthro-enthusiasts, Gamers, fans of certain books and series, animators, artists, musicians, etc.
But yeah, removing Misc. would be like killing off a little village of elves or something. Like, cookie making elves. They make cookies of knowledge or something, from the productive not scratch related conversations held there. They don't really share their cookies with the rest of the site. Maybe with the rest of the real world, some day, but yeah not really the rest of the site.
Food for thought, haha
Maybe I just really want some cookies

As I have mentioned several times before on this thread, Miscellaneous is staying open, with no ifs, ands, or buts. It's an integral part of the community, and while it may not serve a direct purpose, it keeps spam out of the rest of the forums and makes what would otherwise be a jumble of people into a lovely web of friends and a nice community.
The TBGs were removed because they did not serve such a purpose, and with such a great multitude of posts and users, it was just irrelevant. But Miscellaneous forms bonds which make the community what it is: something special, found nowhere else on the internet.

KEEP MISC.
Yay coolstuff, completely agree. Now I don't have to write a big persuasive essay.
