Some of you may know my series of short stories "The Adventures Of Goldie The Superdog." Well, I'm, planning on turning that into an animated series, but I'm wondering what program I could use to make it. Pivot was my first choice, but I would prefer something more detailed, like an actual cartoon. My friend suggested Flash, but that costs.
So then I thought, I could make it in Scratch!
I could also make a game of it.
What do you think?

If you wanna do it, do it.

Sure! I haven't read Goldie yet, but it sounds interesting. I think Scratch would be the easiest program to animate it in.

Do you think it would work well in Scratch, though? Or is there something better I could use?

Well, the first story is in three "episodes," as it is done in episodic form.

If you were going for animation and you are good with drawing using a mouse/tablet you could use this open source animation thing I found called Pencil
I used that once. It was very good.
But it went on wibbly for me, so I don't want to use it again.

Thanks, I just read the first one. I like the whole idea of a fabric dog coming to life.

Lol, thanks.
There is actually a proper back-story, which will be explained later on in the series. A bit like the TV series Kyle XY (have you seen that? It was very good).

ok caleb
i'm going to give you some advice
and i want you to at least TRY to follow it.
i've said this to you before
but good writers imply
so instead of saying
"goldie landed in a bin"
you could say, for example
well
no
"the building was made of glass"
first off no self respecting architect would design a building out of glass
and no self respecting government would approve it
and no self respecting builder would build it
but if your story takes place in a world where they are all suicidal..
"s/he heard the smashing of glass as the car flew through the building"
ok

How odd.

It's very hard to understand you when you write like that.

You should use Flash. It has much better animating techniques than Scratch

As I said, that costs money.

I'd rather have something I could use whenever I like, for as long as I like, without having to rush it.
