That's natural for that amount of time. Haven't you ever gotten a kernel panic? Every time I use a Mac, I seem to get one.  hmm

I've only got it once, and it automatically restarted and there were no hiccups. I didn't lose anything. Once. In the whole history of my Mac. And that was only because I was fiddling with it  tongue

Context context context. :p

Actual statement: "Occasionally (around 6 months) we’ll get a blue screen upon start up but as far as I know it's harmless."
In other words, not-a-problem.

In other words: your registry gets messed up every time you do that and you'll have errors that will slow down your computer and then people will call you up with an Indian accent an tell you that you have errors on your PC and then tell you to press Windows button + R and then type something or other and show you thousands of errors and then scam you into buying a fake program and the guys say their working with Microsoft but in truth, the only way to fix it is to reinstall OS.  neutral

Umm...dude, What are you even talking about? Honestly, you’re so thoroughly incorrect that I can’t even vaguely relate your account with reality.

Re: Windows Movie Maker help please!!!

I do.

(Only works with Windows LIVE Movie Maker)

1. Make a movie (Duh)

2. Open the menu, and click save movie

3. Click Create Custom Setting...

4. Give it a name and fill in the details

5. Go to the Menu, save movie, then select the custom setting you created.

Hope this helped.

Don't know if this'll fix your specific issue, but I know that papajohn.org is a great place for Windows Movie Maker-related things. I use it a lot.

Hope that helps!  smile

No offence but, I think you may need a new computer. It runs just fine on my 2.3 quad, Vista 64bit PC. But running it on my laptop, ya I see what you mean. :p

You've never been more right. My PC is older than the first dinosaurs (even worse: it's a Dell PC) but WMM started crashing around the XP SP3 update.

DavidTy wrote:

Uh...sorry to correct you there, but no you haven't. I have very high experiences with almost every Windows OS. I know Vista like the best iPhone hackers know iOS. So if you want to talk about being inexperienced with Windows OSes, you talking to the wrong cowboy, buddy.  roll

and in my opinion your description is quite frankly, not even remotely equivalent to my actual experiences with Vista.

Either Vista just plain hates me or you don't use Internet Crashplorer. (Other people who used Vista went with Crashplorer rather than FireFox. If you ARE a Crashplorer user, I feel sorry for you.)

I love Windows, ever since my very first laptop that ran on Windows 95, to my latest Gaming PC that running Vista 64bit. They sometimes have issues but no program is perfect.
My original laptop is now over 15 years old; and still running! If that’s not a reason to stick with a brand, I don’t know what is.

I never said I hated Windows. It's just Vista in particular...and Internet Crashplorer.

Strange coincidence, I have an old Dell XP PC  as well ...O.o I don't use it anymore but I totally see what mean. :p

I do use it on my beast pc, and in my experience, it runs surprisingly more stable and just as fast as Chrome, but on my little wimpy laptop it is a nightmare, that's what I switched to Chrome.
