Of course not.

•No one can live in the North Pole. It's much too cold to support human life.
•You can't travel the Earth in one night on a sleigh. That's impossible. There's a plane that can go around the world in a little more than 3 and a half hours, but that's at it's top speed, and you'd have to stop at each house.
•Reindeer. Don't. Fly.
•Wouldn't this be illegal? He's technically breaking into people's houses.

And also I personally think it's horrible that any parent would flat out lie to their kid, especially if it's too get them to be good. That's taking advantage of them. They should go pick on someone their own size.

Whoops, I didn't mean to quote that last bit. I agree, Santa is part of the fun when you're little.

I don't mean that you can't play around with them about Santa. What I'm saying is that if you actually get them to believe that Santa is seriously real, that's horrible. How is your child supposed to trust you if you've been lying to him/her? I would certainly consider my parents less trustworthy if they lied to me.

Thankfully they didn't. I picked up the whole Santa garbage from the kids at school whose parents were liars. I really wish I wasn't so gullible.

It went like this:
Six-year-old me, while getting the mail: Hey mom, is the Tooth Fairy real? [I had a loose tooth]
Mom & brother: *glance at each other*
Mom: Do you think she's real?
Me: Well, not really.
Mom: *nods*
Me: How about the Easter Bunny?
Mom: Well, no.
Me: So Santa's not real either?
Mom: Isn't this enough for one day?
Me: *concludes* No. *hands her the mail and plays around with loose tooth*

That was it  tongue

Lying is telling someone something you know isn't true.

No really?

The parents know that Santa is real, but they are telling it to their kids. It's freaking lying, don't try and sugar coat it.

Dude. Relax. Santa makes it more fun. It's not maliciously lying. It's just for FUN. Kids LIKE it, if you hadn't noticed. And you're ignoring the fact that I, and everyone else I know, wasn't very cut up about it when they found out the truth.

I was told the truth, and I loved it they my parents cared enough to give me presents.

I don't feel like that. Two days ago my mum told me he wasn't real (like I didn't already know  tongue ), and I was sort of happy because now she knows that I'm grateful to her for all the presents, and not Santa.

Re: Do you believe in Santa?

Nooo.  Sorry kid, but everything you get at Christmas from "Santa" is in fact from your parents.  I do believe in Saint Nicholas, but religion and Santa have no connection.  I belive the concept of Santa arose from Saint Nicholas, as I think he used to give presents at Christmas or similar.  I'm not completely sure, but it is something like that.

Obviously it was my dog that ate Rudolph's carrot.  XD she loves carrots  tongue  and my dad would walk her before I would get up.

Also I saw plenty of books coming in the post, and I got the wrong album; I wanted Dear Agony rather than A Thousand Suns.  Lol

I'm used to my parents lying to me.  They lied to me about my granny's death.  I was in bits, praying for her to be alive, when she had died two hours before.  They treat me like I am too young to cope with death.  How unfair is that?  I never forgave them for it...

Indeed, I was the one who had to cope with losing their beautiful, amazing, unique and gentle cat, Felix when they were six.  Thinking about her makes me cry...

R.I.P Felix </3

You don't get it. I don't think a material object excused lying to kid.

Also, Animeboy could you reply to my post from a while ago.

Re: Do you believe in Santa?

I think the idea of Santa is stupid anyway, everyone's telling it to their kids because.. well, everyone's telling it to their kids. It's completely useless now.

No, though I do miss the days when I did. Although, presents are not nearly as important as the rest of the components of Christmas, as I am religious. Not gonna say any more.

No.

Saint Nick was real at one time. Just because he threw gold into these three poor girls houses, that doesn't make him magical.
So no, Santa Clause is not real.

His friend doesn't act logical either.

Neither does the rest of the world, most times.
