I just felt like posting this because I got home recently from a Christmas musical performance. I had a solo and a group number. So... have you ever been in a performance/musical/play? If so, what were you or what did you sing? Did you have a solo? Do you love to be on stage or do you have stage fright? Discuss. big_smile

I was once the narrator in a Christmas play at school.
I hated it. Even when I just have to perform in front of class I feel like throwing up, let alone 200 people hmm

I always get really nervous before I have to perform, too. I've been in a Musical Theater program for a few years, and we always do one or two performances each year. I've had a solo in all of the years I've been in the class, although I always get nervous before each. Sometimes I mess up completely, too. D:

In a few months I'm going to be doing a martial arts demo an hour before a hockey game at Nationwide Arena with the demo team I'm on. I'm actually quite comfortable in front of people, so stage fright has never really been a problem for me. I've also played a sheperd in a Christmas play when I was in the second grade.

I wish my band would ever get a gig, but somehow all the bad bands (maybe it's just envy) get all the spots. D:

Well, I have multiple concerts every year because I'm in Symphonic Band at school so there's that... I would love to be in a play or musical though, if it wasn't for my stage fright. Though I did manage to get through an audition for my school's play last year (To Kill a Mockingbird)! I did the "Which cup is poisened?" speech from Princess Bride

Though if any school I ever attend does Phantom, Les Mis, or Wicked I would totally attempt an audition big_smile
