Roblox is terrible, the people on there are so stupid they believe that if you post something on 10 items you will get to completely ruin the point of buying membership. They supply you with calculators tied to rocks and call them servers, they lag even if you have 1 brick. Although MC has some annoying features (take the day/night cycle for instance) I think the amount of people who bought it speaks for itself.

And the movement in MC is decent, in roblox it is amazingly bad. I remember a roblox game EXACTLY like MC classic, it had a few blocks which you could place/destroy to make stuff, but it became BC only.

Minecraft is $20 but I guess it's worth it, if you like the game (I don't, come at me bro). ROBLOX is "free" (free to play but with premium features. Kinda like Club Penguin, TF2, Habbo Hotel and others), but it's community is simply horrible and even unmoderated at times, lots of stuff that isn't for kids is overlooked by the mods. Not to mention the lag in games.

But ROBLOX is far more versatile than Minecraft if you play it to express your creativity. You have a whole scripting language, and blocks, meshes, tools and decals of all sorts to build pretty much anything you wish. Minecraft is pretty limited unless you use lots of mods (i.e. to fly, etc).

So overall, if you want gameplay go for Minecraft, if you're the creative kinda guy you might be better off with ROBLOX if you don't mind the lag and kiddie community.
