We're working on something new for Scratch called the Welcoming Committee. Scratchers who want to welcome New Scratchers can join the welcoming committee, and help answer questions and give ideas. But the info. page needs a good image!

I'm imagining something similar in style to this image by MyRedNeptune:

Simple, with nice clean lines. smile

But of course the content of this one will need to be different!

* It should use friendly looking cartoon-like characters from the Scratch sprite library (or maybe characters that are really similar to the ones in the library- that'd be ok too).
* There should be at least 3 characters, since it is a committee. (But there could be more than 3)
* It should be really welcoming, and look very friendly.

Maybe they could be holding a banner that says Scratch Welcoming Committee?

How do you join the welcoming committee? Do you just post welcoming projects and put them in the gallery, or do you have to get picked?

I was wondering the same thing. It wasn't from a member of the Scratch Team, but I heard that you have to create a project and put it in the gallery.

Maybe more characters? The starfish is nice.

The banner is wavy but the text isn't... do you have any way you can fix that?

Umm...let me try to monkey around with it more.

I might add some friendly animals in the background and I forgot to add my name "Made By: Stevetheipad". I'll play around with the text, but I'm not sure.

It doesn't, and I can change that.

I plan on making the image smaller so it is clearer when Lightnin has picked which image he wants.

Looks great so far! I agree that a few more characters would make it awesomer.
I think I should've specified a size / dimension at the start... Can you make it the same size as the community moderator one posted above?

Oh yeah - and feel free to add your username subtly somewhere in there, like myredneptune did in the example above.
