Logging In.

How come I have to enter my username and password twice? The first time, it takes me to my profile, but I'm not logged in!

Re: Logging In.

That's odd.
Do you have cookies enabled?
If you do, try clearing all cookies from scratch.mit.edu.
If you don't, enable cookies.

Re: Logging In.

I think this should be in Troubleshooting! Also, I agree with Scimonster. This sounds like a cookies problem. If you're using Firefox, go to the Tools tab, then Options and finally Privacy. If "Accept Cookies from Sites" is unchecked, that's probably the problem.

If it's unchecked for a reason, you can play with the "Exceptions" option to set up a more comfortable browser.

If it's a shared computer, you might want to ask the other users about the reasoning for cookies to be blocked before toying with options.

Hope I helped!

Thanks, but the Accept Cookies from sites is checked. This has happened to me since I first logged on in September of 2010.

Re: Logging In.

Odd, I use Firefox, but never encountered this problem. However, you might wanna try updating FF to it's latest version. That may help. Also, I believe that a Firewall or Proxy may be blocking it. Try unblocking the entire Scratch site. If this doesn't work, what computer do you have?  This info may help me solve your problem.

Overclocking it may be a factor, too, but chances are, if you ARE overclocking it, your computer could've exploded before you're reading this. Do you have any hacking programs or RAM increasers or anything? That may also be a factor.

This happened to me on a Flash gaming site. It might be slightly different to solve on Scratch, but unblocking this site on your Firewall may help.

Half of that didn't make sense, but I have a Dell Inspiron 15R

Oh, I'm sorry.

It sounds like it may just be a glitch with the site, then. The servers are probably crowded and confused.

I'm not really sure what else it could be- Your computer might just not be keen with cookies. Does this happen on any other sites? And, though it probably has nothing to do with anything, what OS are you using?

Once you get to scratch try refreshing or going to forums and coming back.

http://i.imgur.com/uuYOb.png  I had this happen to me in the past a few times.  I believe it has to do with cookies, although I am not sure.

Hey, and keep scratching!

Re: Logging In.

I logged into Scratch, then when I went to go look at someone's project, I noticed that I was logged out again!  sad  Tonight I had to log in several times before I could comment on the project! I didn't get the message like some other people did, it just logged me off automatically when I was viewing the project!
