It's not weird 
Dragon Ball is weird, DBZ is legendary.
If you think it's too violent or something, it's just like that. There are even censored versions. But it's nothing too much. Just awesome fighting

I've only seen commercials.
And from what i've seen it looks extremely odd,(lol) but not violent.
