(this is for just the Scratch Team)
As you can see, I am still a New Scratcher and I am very annoyed by all the things I can't do. For example; voting on suggestions, etc. At least I can write forums and use BBCode!
I don't even refer to myself as a New Scratcher. I got my account on, like, Aug. 9th! At least tell me when I'll be a Scratcher.

Well, you only have 1 project and 5 posts. Try making more projects and posting on the forums more often, then you'll be promoted to Scratcher.
And yes, I see that you want the Scratch Team to respond, but that's exactly what they'd say.

maybe in new scratchers, idk but no one knows when they will be a scratcher, complaining about it probably doesnt increase your chances though, as gettysburg11 said try posting on the forums and making more projects and that will probably make it go faster

I became a Scratcher a month after joining, but that was because I was posting every day and uploading some projects. Just keep being active and you'll get the Scratcher status eventually!

Then email the Scratch team, people don't want to see you bump this up every day until a mod responds, and some users are just as good as mods.

Sorry if I was a bit rude. Would you mind if I added you to my friends list?
I'm making a lot of posts myself, replying to all of these posts.
I have a lot more projects on Scratch. I'll upload them right now.
By the way, I'm not so comfortable with people looking at my account without permission, but now you have my permission to look at my account.

Earn it like every other Scratcher did it:
BE ACTIVE

All right, I get what everyone's saying. To be a Scratcher you have to be more active. (Actually, I didn't discover my account until November!) But have you forgotten the title? New Scratchers cannot make links! I'll try to make one; This is a link to the Scratch website
This time I want the Scratch Team to respond, but other people can respond, too.

Oh! :)The help page must've lied to me! Well, New Scratchers still can't make signatures.

New Scratchers can make links as long as they're to somewhere in the Scratch website. And yes, you're right that New Scratchers can't make signatures.

But then, what can we do about it? I'm getting tired of having to use forums to make suggestions

I joined and was extremely active and got it in a week!
The point here is, you must be active if you want that status

This topic sir, just had to make you wait longer for getting "Scratcher".
What you have to do:
> Be active
> Give helpful and nice comments
> Be helpful on the forums
> (This is common sense but..) Follow the rules
> Post a lot of projects.
What you don't do:
> Complain about your limitations
> Post "when will I be a scratcher" type topics
> (ooh look, more common sense! ->) Don't follow the rules
Since you just complained about your limitations and asked when will you be a Scratcher, you just made yourself some more waiting time.
Hope this helped!

mcpNOVA, I see you on the road to success sir.
As for the original poster, don't complain. If you do actually have a problem asking for help, tell us. If you just want to post in Misc, then too bad for you.

As do I!

1. Stop complaining, you are only making yourself look bad.
2. I wouldn't complain, you barely have any posts. 17 is NOT a lot.
3. Your posts should be helpful, not spam, happy faces or posts like, "Cool". I noticed you spammed on an announcement thread, don't do that.
4. You need to post projects, you're complaining when you only have like 7 projects. That's nothing! Some people have thousands.
5. DO NOT post a bunch of projects just to become a Scratcher, because the system will definetely notice that and make you wait even longer to become a scratcher.
6. Post helpful comments on people's projects.
7. Explore the site and try to take part in different activities.
8. Be friendly.
9. Follow the rules.
10. Read these 10 steps.
