We can have /sethome now, if you don't like a place then move far away from it and set home, that way I can live where I want, you can live where you want and we can keep our stuff.

Okay then, but we still might have to get a new map after the next update  hmm

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

All I want is more people to come on, even later in the day, nobody whatsoever comes on. In the last five days or so, I have seen:

Bioa: Often
Elfin8er: Occasionally
Shamblerocker: Often
Nerve: Sometimes
Gbear: Rarely
Jack_Bitters: (He's my brother) But now he's addicted to StarCraft, so he doesn't come on that much.
Adriangl: 1-2 times.
Rabbit: Logs on for 5-10 minutes, says, "I'm the only admin ever on!" then leaves, so he really isn't on that much.
And as we all know, Qaz pops in for 5 seconds about once every day.
I haven't seen Werd like, at ALL.
I might have seen Geo once.
And PKDX has been on quite a bit these past two or three days.

But the times that these people are on are so scattered, it doesn't seem like a community. Most times I can almost go an entire day without seeing one person. Because everyone is at their secret base, wondering what to do, or just harvesting and replanting their farms.

I feel like a lot of this could be fixed by a few events, a reset End, and a lack of school.  tongue

I remember when nobody even said "Hey! Full server!" because it happened so much! What happened to those people? And I know that people have school, but does it honestly take up all 24 hours of the day? (Minus sleeping)

Even Jack finds time to play computer games, and he gets ridiculous loads of homework.

It seems that there could be only one reason nobody comes on.

Is everyone playing Skyrim?

Holy cow, how do I have 361 posts? I never go on the Scratch forums... It must all be on this topic and a bit on Scratchia's old topic.

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

Lol, so I was trying to get a creeper to drop a music disc, and I had it and 3 skeletons and a spider following me. One skeleton hit the spider, and they got in a fight. Then, as I ran past the creeper, I heard SSSSSS- then it was cut off. I looked back, and in a neat little pile was some gunpowder, and a green music disc  big_smile

If we get a new world, can we kinda make it an event? Because last time we switched, everyone had gotten to the Nether before i even logged on  hmm  It was disappointing. It meant that there was no race for diamonds or anything, because the early birds got the worm. And thusly, for the first few days, everyone lived in the shadow of Nerve and Gbear, who got the first Enchantment table, Portal, diamonds, and constantly threatened to take the first two away from the public, unless they got their way.
No offense or anything, just what it looked like to me.

And the whole team effort thing? All I know is that, somehow, stealing was justified by the thief saying "HEY, it's a team effort! Don't be selfish!" And stealing the food I needed to stay alive.

I ended up standing on my furnace, swinging my sword at anyone who came close.

If  we get a new world, I want:
-Events
-Team effort? No. I want little groups of friends sharing, but no "The entire server is a big team! ALL YOUR FOOD AND STUFFS IS BELONG TO ME"
-A spawn town in a plains biome. It just works a lot better. No covering over rivers, no mining away dirt until it was bare stone.
-Either a mod that makes creepers drop every block they explode, or a mod that makes them latch onto your head and chomp on you. Fun!
-Somehow, I want to encourage exploration. A good thing to do would be getting the mod that makes creepers burn in sunlight. No more, "Ah, time to go out into the world! Better wait until noon though, when all the creepers are despawned."
-An admin that comes on, and stays on. (Not me, personally, I don't like authority)
-A spawn set to spawntown XD Goodness, that spawn was HORRIBLE.
-No MCMMO, iConomy, or anything that is too unvanilla.
-No TPs. Even to spawn town. (Some exceptions, like what happened to me once, falling into a really deep hole, with no way out, and no pickaxe, and no blocks to tower out with. (I deleted that world))
-A End that resets every week or so. Or something. Every month? Idk.

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

For all of you who are just going to TL;DR the above two posts (Past Werd's), okay. There isn't that much importance in them, just my opinion.

BTW, good news guys, I finally memorized the recipe to make a cake.
(I always used to mix up if the buckets of milk went on top, or bottom. Now I know it's the top!)

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

I haven't BEEN on the server, because I haven't had the COMPUTER.  Trust me, I would go on if I could.  The few times I was on, I had horrible lag, because my dad is running lots of programs on his account, and we have an old computer.  Soon I hopefully will be on more.  Bukkit will help.

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

Also, I plan to make plugins for this server (if qaz wants them) like /help, and /phoenix, that provide info, etc.

I know that qaz also plans to go to the minecraft forum, and that will help our community.  Also, for anyone who says there will be griefers, yes: that is a fact of life, but, if we get MCbans, and hawkeye, we should be safe from anything they can throw at us.  Also, there aren't that many griefers as you think.  There are a very few, they just are really annoying when they happen.  However, we shouldn't remove the whitelist. (maybe we should make a graylist, where guests can come on, but they can't build?)

graylist sounds interesting, or maybe they can have certain restrictions, like no PvP, no TNT, no Flint+Steel, etc.  big_smile

School takes up a LONG time dia. I understand you Qazzy.
I am in an advanced math thing, so my math homework ALONE takes up to an hour.
BTW, the third world was on during the summer break.

Also, another reason I suspect that no one is on because of, (drumroll) 1.0!
1.0 brought a lot of things that split us apart. In Werds case and mine at the beginning, swamps. The color of the new grass and water made me shun away because we decided to make the city ON the swamp. I just moved away  tongue

Another thing is the constant need for food. Everyone was stealing and the only way to get food was to- A. Farm. B. Kill things.
1.7 was the best update for me, as well as parts of 1.8 and 1.0. Bow machine guns. Zomb feathers.
1.7- NO FOOD BAR. Some parts of terrain gen. And more parts of the gen. SOUNDS.
1.8- SPRINTING. Bigger terrain gen. Rivers. Giant mushrooms. Moar food types. Moar blocks. AWESOME MULTIPLAYER INTERFACE. Mobs. (Not Endermen)
1.0- ARMOR. Nether. Potions. ENCHANTS. Hardcore mode. F5. Moar blocks. Harder mobs.

Anyways Dia, I'm all for a new world, and I would actually like some planning there, as well as a reasonable map, other than SWAMPS EVERYWHERE *hint hint*

In other news, I'm glad for your decision Nerves.

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

1.0 was the stupidest update ever, most people gave up after they got "Invalid server key" 20 times and I found diamond before I had a way to feed myself properly. Minecraft has lost all the values it used to have, the beauty was that it had no point, you just build and do whatever, now we're killing eachother over diamonds and crying that we have no food, melon slices are still far from balanced and enchanting takes so much time sometimes it's nowhere near worth the enchant you get. I could go on and on, but I've decided to take a massive break from MC and play something which hasn't been rushed, I've already spent over 24 hours playing Terraria with my dad's friend and I feel MC doesn't have that cool factor, just the "Argh, something's blown up my stuff again, now I need to reget all that XP and rebuild my stuff again" factor.

If you think Minecraft is so bad, just stop playing it. Simple as that, you don't need to rant about it.
