Scratch

We're going to be using Icecast2 for streaming, most likely. Also, it would be nice if it could display metadata, but not necessary. It should be big, bold, and about 200 high and 300 wide. You can see the placeholder on the site.

What do you mean recording music? My own music that I play, or just a bunch of MP3's? Also, I can't host the icecast server. I never figured it out.

Your own music, recorded as mp3s. You could cover stuff as well.
You could also do a mini-talk segment for like 5-15 minutes, talking about whatever.
The Icecast2 server would be easy, if you know how to forward ports. If you have Hamachi, I could go through it with you on there. Unfortunately I couldn't do it tonight.

First off, I don't know how to play any christmas songs. If I would, they wouldn't be any good. Also, do you have skype? You could walk me threw it there.

1. The songs needn't be related to Christmas or the holidays at all. It's just called Holiday Radio because I thought it'd be fun for the holidays.
2. Nope don't. You'd only need to run the server though, because I'd be streaming to the server from my computer.

Thanks! This is probably gonna be a one-off or an annual event though, unless a permanent solution can be worked out.

I have icecast2, but I'm getting stuck on port forwarding. I've done it before, but I can't figure it out again.

NM, I got in. I just typed my regular IP. That should work, right? BTW, I have a belkin router.

That's strange that that worked. Anywho, were you able to forward a port? Something like 80, 1000, 1080, or 8000 would be optimal
