So,I am doing a very great game in scratch(in my view =P) and it isn't finished yet.And it already have the whooping file size of 73 MB.So,I didn't know about the scratch file size limit of 10 MB to post on the site, and I was going to post a "demo" of my game in the site.It took a long time to upload it and then it said that the max size could be only 10MB.How can I post this project on the site if it's too big???

I don't think you can... Sorry!

Do you have a lot of songs in your project? Lots of long songs can make the amount of megabytes extremely high. If that's the case, try deleting a couple.

A better suggestion would be to compress them. Go to edit, then click compress sounds, then choose a sound quality. Normal compression is usually enough to get the file size down, but experiment with other quality levels as well

Songs and sounds usually make your project a larger file. Maybe try deleting some if you have any. Also, when you click the "Share This Project Online..." button, make sure you check the "Compress sounds and images" box.

Ordinarily I'd say that, but with a 73 MB project, that might not be enough. I guess you could try uploading it just with compressing the project, then start cutting music if that doesn't work.

Well, the game HAS a lot of songs, but if I remove them the game won't be the same...T.T
This is my best project so far,if I can't upload then I will stop it.

Have you tried compressing sounds to the max?

Now compress the images.

My guess is that it's the music causing the large file size, so you could try deleting some. And have you ticked the 'Compress all sounds and images' box? That'll reduce the size too. If it's still too big to put on the website, I'd suggest putting it on a file sharing website and linking to it in the project notes

You could try editing the songs to be shorter. That way, you wouldn't have to delete them entirely. (:
Another thing you could try is making all your costumes smaller, and then using the "size" command to resize the sprite back to its original size. This only works best when your graphics are already kinda retro-looking, though.

Costumes hardly use up any space though, it's mainly music.

I compressed everything to the lowest quality and now the file size is 11,3 MB.I will say it again,I DIDN'T FINISH THIS GAME YET.
Then your kinda stuck... Your last remaining choices are to quit, or you can make all of the graphics look terrible and hope that lowers it below 10 MB, or delete the music and hopefully have enough space to finish the game.

The images compressed to the max are horrible,I think that the only way I can show my game to other people is to post in a file sharing and then make a project with the link, yeah,I thought about that too...well,I'll see what I will do.
Thanks for the help,if anything happens I will post here.

Sorry for the double post.
It hurts me badly to say this, but I will cancel my project. There's no way I can finish it without the file size inferior to 10 MB and the game is full of bugs that I can't fix in any way.I use scratch since 2009,but I don't understand it fully yet.And I think that all the projects that I start to make,I stop. The ones in my gallery are the ones I made just for fun.
Well...thanks for the help,everyone.

Yeah, you can upload it to another website and if people need to, they can download it.

Hmm....
Convert your project to Java with this: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=79382
Then you have to somehow compile it and put it on your site. That I do not know how to do , but someone here on Scratch probably does
