Same happened to me. If it'll turn on, blu-tack it and continue using it as normal. Mine's been like it for a year now and it still lives

No, but sometimes the top screen is red in some parts, and some other times it is completely white. :x
You may be able to buy a whole new top screen, then just replace it. Don't turn it on though, it shorts out and it breaks more, found that out after my stepdad hammered my dsi to pieces then hid it in my room.

We have the technology to rebuild it. It will be faster, stronger, tougher, and able to play Skyrim. It also replaces the starting audio with a combination of Guile's theme and the Inception theme.
