Please, no merging, you can tell they see this as a weakpoint and want to jump on it before it's resolved.

If you wish me to, I could (with or without skittle's help) run the server on my own host.  As you know, my host is pretty good, you just were not a fan of the FTP, but I think it works well.

Yeah, I'm mostly inactive.  I check in once in a while though.  If you want to contact me, I have a contact form at my website, http://escratch.org

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

Planning out a new PvP event, this one will be improved a lot from the last one. The map will be based on elevation:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3723997/7c7e7.png

Hopefully we will only need 1 plug-in, one which makes snow golems do damage.

Here's another idea, if you build a tower I will place a snow golem spawner in there as long as you make sure there's no way for them to run off very far, any ideas on this?

By the way, on the map, what is that circle thing on the right.

Might be Notch's crater, Notch made the map for Rolf a few months ago, I'm basing it off it this.

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

Ok, we have 2 options for my server:

1. Phoenix creative
2. Phoenix PvP

The PvP workings will be tweaked for a more permanent map, and artifacts will be much harder to find.

PLEASE NO ARTIFACTS, that's what cause the fight last time. Plus gbear605's gonna find 'em within a day. Its a good idea but I was pretty annoyed about the artifacts last time.

This time I won't be on a team at all, the map will never leave my hard-drive and they'll be so hidden that they'll be worth fighting over.

Last time they were pretty easy to find, this time there will be massive searching parties going out to find them, and due to the new TMI I can make amazingly awesome temples which are more dangerous than the predecessors.

The nether will have some nice temples too, and I can change what spawners spawn so we can have some nice traps. If the map does turn out to be permanent then every month I will spawn an enderdragon on top of a random mountain and make it guard a chest full of diamonds and other valuables. Artifacts will be fought over a lot, and hopefully Gbear could make us a plug-in which decides what we drop on death (last time I had 40 iron swords, and replacing a sword each time you die gets annoying) and makes artifacts drop when you log off and maybe the chest they're in will glow or release particles.

So if I read that right, you are going to add new artifacts almost every month?

Nope, there will be 1 of each artifact, that will never change. But a dragon will be placed somewhere and it'll be up to the teams to kill it for exp and diamonds.

Dragons destroy blocks.  What you should do, is delete the old End map, have a chest hidden in the new end, and killing the dragon for EXP is nice too  tongue

Uh no, I just understand how hard it is to run a server when one has little time, a situation similar to mine.

Re: Phoenix Survival [MC Server] [1.0.0!]

It may be placed in a big obsidian box underground, then 2 temples will be made, each with a sign saying the X and Z position of the box's entrance. As for temples, there will be dud temples, containing useless items just to keep explorers searching. Some features will be exact copies of wurm's, like an altar which can be claimed. The altar will have an enchantment table from the start, so if you want your team to succeed then protect as much as you can as soon as you can.

What if the Enderdragon flies away from the chest or destroys it?

It'll be in a bedrock and obsidian room which is on the other side.
