I figure since I've been obsessing over Phantom of the Opera lately, I wanted to see if I had any fellow Phans here on Scratch!
In case you're wondering "What is a 'Phan?'": it's a name for fans of the book(s)/movie(s)/musical Phantom of the Opera. The story is originaly by Gaston Leroux and has been re-told many times. The most famous example is Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical... that just celebrated 25 years in the West End in October.
I'm a pretty huge phan, if I do say so myself ^^
So, discuss PotO my fellow phans

Ah. And I think I was thinking of the "parts" in Susan Kay's Phantom so nevermind
The original is free of that... I highly recommend it

That was sort of the point... It was the movie adaption of the ALW musical. They didn't do an awesome job of it or anything. Parts got messed up... I wish they would have used actors and actresses who played the parts in the stage musical. Ah, well. Come February it won't matter

Never seen it. What's it about.
Oh gosh. When I try to explain it, I tend to ramble so bear with me.
The Phantom of the Opera is about a young chorus girl named Christine Daae who catches the attention of the infamous Phantom of the Opera (though she doesn't know him as such- he's her Angel of Music). He gives her lessons, though never appearing to her (from behind her mirror). When she has a triumph as a lead role (thanks to the Phantom's interfearance with the Prima Donna Carolotta) her childhood sweetheart, Vicomte Raoul de Chagny recognizes her and reconnects. He is very much in love with her. But the Phantom is jelous- he loves Christine too. Trouble pretty much ensues.
That's the shortest premise of PotO I've ever written.
There's a good deal more to it though.

I've only ever heard some of the songs from that musical... But Phantom is amazing If nothing else, listen to the songs. They are amazing
I've been recording myself playing Phantom songs on my clarinet. Would anyone be interested in hearing them? A few songs from other places too (Les Mis, Disney, Sound of Music, ect) Just wondering
