all right, so I have recently started learning python, and I came to wonder if scratch was based on python. The reason on why I thought this is because alot of the commands are quite like some blocks in scratch.

I also am learning Python now. Scratch is not made with, or based on Python. It was made with Squeak Smalltalk, and is based off of anything. And the reason the commands are like Scratch blocks is because they are both programming languages. You’ll see similar commands in any programming language.
And I don’t think any of this, I know it.

Yes I realize that they are both programming languages. Its just that they happend to be so similar.

They are both very simplified programming languages, although Scratch is extremely simple and easy it almost isn’t even programming.
