Scratch is kind of iffy with some .mp3 files. It works best with .wav files, so you may want to try converting your music to a .wav and then putting it into your project.

Anyway to convert them?
Also, Wav files are much larger than MP3, converting this one is 22MB...Surely, since of the limit they would want something that takes up much less space?

Scratch is capable of compressing files when they're imported, so even if the .WAV file is big, compressing the file in Scratch will push the file size down to a more practical size. Just compress the converted sound file after importing it into Scratch.
I suggest getting Audacity since it's free and it converts/exports files to uncompressed .WAV by default.

You could try either re downloading the file or converting the music if its from youtube to mp3 using youtube-mp3(dot)org. Or convert into .wav using audacity.
