I'm coolperson, once very active in scratch. Been gone for almost 2 years. Can anybody fill me in on what I've missed, or any 2.0 info?

Some of the major changes:
- 2.0 release got delayed, it's expected to be released on 2012. A Cloning function is expected to be in 2.0
- Front Page rules got changed a bit to increase some diversity (see here)
- There's now and online Flash player for Scratch projects, which is likely to replace the Java player at some point.

Thanks, everybody! A really good thing that's happened now, is that I'm older and actually understand programming, so I can really make good projects, and contribute to the community more. Something kinda funny is that my java is out of date now, I can't see projects right now. Heh.

Instead of sticking with the Java player, try the beta Flash player I mentioned earlier, it runs most project faster (and sometimes better) than the Java player. smile

Yes, and click 'try it out now' next to any project. If you don't like it, don't worry, you can switch back any time.

Also, you can go into turbo mode by shift-clicking the flag in flash player.

-TBG's have been moved to their own new forums
-Most Scratchers from 2 years ago have left.
-We reached 2,000,000 projects(I uploaded it smile )
-We now have Flash Player
