A member of the scratch team posted on the forums about messages a while back, and they said you should delete your messages because it lags the server

I last checked uhh yesterday somewhere between 3 and 6. This morning at 9 I had 1 message. I always delete/respond to them whenever I have a message, I don't like that little notification hanging around there. It distracts me, for whatever reason.
Even if it's just on the main site.

0...delete them once I read them, always...probably the most I've had at a time was 37 and that was the day cube got featured and I didn't check my messages for about 2 hours.
