How'd you ever learn how to do them?

I'm glad you like them!

What really helps me to get better is to know as much as you can about the editing program that you are using, figure out what all the tools are and what they could be used for. Try out all of the filters and and other options on different images for fun, and sooner then you think you will know how to use pretty much everything. Then you can easily combine the uses of the different tools to make whatever you can think up.

And then you can challenge yourself you do something that you might consider a hard edit. It is always fun to work on something that you would be proud when it is finished, because you know you worked hard on it. if you only attempt things that you know you can easily complete, then you probably wont get any better at it. So its good to challenge yourself!

I suck at GIMP, so I use Paint.NET. Simpler and easier. Sometimes I'll edit a photo in GIMP, but only for stuff like blur and all
